Now this is my favourite lego set! I’ve only just finished the last two stems. This was the box as pictured when I first bought it (Mr. Hops nibbled some of the edges afterwards). I had initially gone to the local Lego store to pick up the Great Wave set, but when I saw the rose bouquet set on a shelf display, I loved it so much that I came back for it later after finishing the Great Wave.
It consists of three separate instruction booklets for roses in different stages of bloom and I counted twelve roses.

These are parts from the last bag. Sometimes it gets a little frustrating when I’m trying to attach a brick to a segment and some of the attached parts snap off in the process. This set has a lot of small parts, and I have big fingers. That means a lot of dropped parts on the floor. I went to the gym yesterday and the last thing I want right now is to have to bend down and pick up tiny brown thorn-shaped lego pieces off my brown floor. Getting back up off the floor was equally agonising, thanks to my first leg day after one month of muscle atrophy.
It felt so satisying to layer on the rose petals though. Like adding the finishing touches to a painting.
It comes with a little pink heart too! How cute is it?

The view from the top. I’m so happy with how it turned out! The baby’s breath is a nice touch and balances out the red.
Yay! We’re all done. I got a cheap vase from Toku Tokuya to keep them in.
Finishing it gave me a sense of accomplishment and it was fun to do, though I was mostly rushing through it because I was impatient to see the finished product. I’m happy to finally tick it off my to-do list, not in the sense of a box-checking exercise, but rather because I can’t wait to display it
I’m really loving the Botanicals series lego’s been putting out. This one really adds a pop of colour to my workspace. The best part is, these roses will last forever.
